    The Whole Earth & Sea Pure Food Vegan Greens Protein Bar is the next generation of on-the-go whole-food nutrition. The ingredients are 80% raw and 100% gluten free, organic, non-GMO, and kosher. Based on science, it is one of the most nutritionally robust and alkaline-forming bars on the market – and it doesn’t sacrifice one bit on flavour. This convenient, deliciously satisfying bar is covered in antioxidant-rich dark chocolate. Each bar has 15 g of high-quality vegan protein, making it the perfect choice for between-meal snacking or post-workout recovery.

    The easy-to-digest plant-based protein (from brown rice, buckwheat, peanut butter, and chia) conveniently boosts protein intake without needing to consume animal products, soy, dairy, or gluten. In addition to protein, the Greens Protein Bar is packed with green superfoods, including wheat and barley grass juice, spirulina, and broccoli sprouts. It also contains dates, blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries, and is an excellent source of fibre – providing 9 g of fibre, or 36% of the daily recommended intake (DRI) – and a good source of iron ( 15% of the DRI). A healthier alternative to bars loaded with artificial flavours and calories, the naturally sweetened formula helps keep you satisfied and energized between meals.

    Much of the protein comes from plant-based organic brown rice. Research has shown that brown rice protein offers benefits virtually identical to the dairy-based whey protein popular with bodybuilders. The rice protein is balanced by a rich, creamy peanut butter that also contributes to the great flavour. And, of course, we couldn’t skip chocolate. But this is not just any chocolate; it’s antioxidant-rich, dark chocolate. What you won’t find in our green protein bars is high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) or other unhealthy sugars. Our bar is sweetened with NuVous™ (containing inulin, stevia, orange flavour and lycii berry extract).

      How do Whole Earth & Sea formulas compare to other whole-food supplements?

      Several companies market versions of what they refer to as “whole-food” vitamins. Most of the nutrients in supplements marketed as whole-food are produced by mixing (USP) vitamins and minerals with Saccharomyces cerevisiae (baker’s yeast) sugar or molasses in a big tank. After some amount of time has passed (usually 12 – 24 hours), the yeast is killed off and the material is dried off.       What is the EnviroSimplex® technology?

      The EnviroSimplex technology liquefies and mixes all raw materials in a special chamber where the bio-activation process occurs, allowing enzymes, probiotics, and prebiotics help to culture the ingredients. Then it deploys gentle agitation and gentle heat under high vacuum to extract moisture, preserve the active ingredients, shorten drying times, and protect sensitive phytonutrients. We ensure the processing temperature always stays below 48°C (118°F).

      Phytonutrients (also referred to as phytochemicals) are natural compounds found in plant based whole foods that give plants their rich pigment, as well as their distinctive taste and smell. Research suggests that nutrients from whole, raw food may have a valuable holistic effect that allows key vitamins and minerals to work more effectively. EnviroSimplex intensifies each 100-g of living, whole food into a 300-milligram, enzymatically vibrant biomass.
